Most of my feedback from the Kenney Jam was based around game juice, the feel of the game, and how the combat was a little lacklustre. This update will hopefully address those points.
Changes made include:
- Added a timeout to stop the attack from being spammable
- Added a left-right-left slash effect to the sword, so that swinging it feels more realistic
- Added particles to the player walk animation
- Decoupled the light from the sword and added to the player, so that when you swing the sword it's less nauseating
- Added a blur effect to the dungeon and reduced the lighting, for more atmosphere
- New knockback, hit effects, and camera shake make combat feel more impactful
- Fixed a bug with the enemy spawn locations to stop them from multiplying in the same room!
I'd really appreciate any feedback, especially around how the above now makes the game feel!
